About this plant

The “Crimson Kunzea” is closely related to the genus Callistemon which can be seen here with ‘bottlebrush’ arrangement of the highly ornamental large crimson flowers which appear sporadically throughout the year, peaking between July and September. Growing between 1-3m high, this spreading shrub responds well to pruning and can be formed into a dense flowering hedge or screen. Hardy and tolerant, this species makes for a great colour contrast in a waterwise garden or for verge replanting as it will tolerate a wide variety of soils and conditions.
