About this plant
The regular form of this species is known as the “Common Fringe Myrtle”, however the “White Spire” variant differs in form as a tall upright shrub which can reach up to 2.5m while remaining narrow with a base of around 30 cm. During flowering in August to November it attracts many bees with its hugely prolific white star shaped flowers and is very hardy once established. Prefers well-drained soil and full sun to part shade. Tip prune gently after flowering to form a denser habit.
