About this plant

This colourful spreading shrub grows between 30-90cm high by 1.5-2m wide making it a stunning ground cover addition to any native garden with dark pink to red flowers usually between August and October. Growing in sandy and loamy soils between the Avon Wheatbelt and Geraldton Sandplains makes this plant frost and drought tolerant as well as suitable for coastal conditions. Sadly it is now listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and Priority 3 by the WA Government as it has lost much of its natural population and habitat due to land clearing and road development.
